Bengaluru: Taking the Metro feeder buses from Swami Vivekananda Road station to ITPL will become cheaper from Thursday for commuters who buy a pass. The BMTC is slashing rates to draw more commuters.
Currently, a daily pass for the premium services between SV Road station and ITPL costs ₹140 and tickets for a round trip cost ₹150. “From Thursday, the daily pass will cost just ₹85,” said Ekroop Caur, Managing Director, BMTC.
Beginning March 1, a monthly pass, valid for normal and premium services, will be sold for ₹1,590 instead of ₹2,400. Pass-holders can alight at any bus stop along the route, Ms. Caur clarified.
New premium services
The BMTC will be introducing 23 new premium buses on the Metro Feeder route between S.V. Road Station and ITPL. They will operate at a frequency of 5 minutes. There are 16 buses operating non-premium services, a BMTC statement said.
Routes applicable
The pass can be used to travel to any bus stop on the S.V. Road-Baiyappanahalli-Tin Factory-Hoodi-ITPL as well as the S.V. Road-Tin Factory-Marathahalli Bridge-Kundalahalli-ITPL routes. Pass-holders can also use the non-Metro Feeder buses on these routes.
