BBMP slaughter house on Tannery Road gets notice

Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has served a notice to the BBMP for not maintaining the slaughter house at Tannery Road.

The notice followed KSPCB chairman Lakshman's visit to place on Thursday.

“While the slaughter house effluent is not being properly stored and treated, effluent water and rain water are also not being separated. Solid wastes are not being segratated properly and scientifically disposed,” said a communique from KSPCB.

BBMP offcials have been asked to submit an Action Taken Report over the points raised by the KSPCB notice soon.
