3 killed in road accidents

Two students from Meghalaya were killed after the motorcycle they were riding rammed a road divider in Yelahanka on Saturday.

The deceased, Bestial Dakar (20) and Lamphrang Langshai (23), were B.Com. students residing in a paying guest facility in Hennur, according to the Yelahanka traffic police. They were on their way to the airport to see off a friend when the accident occurred.

Passersby rushed the duo to a nearby hospital, where Dakar was declared brought dead. Langshai succumbed to the injuries later.

Killed on the spot

A 60-year-old moped rider was killed on the spot when a lorry knocked him down near ISCKON temple on Saturday. The deceased, Vaidyanath Jaswal, a resident of R.T. Nagar, was returning home after getting counselling at Narayan Netralaya in Rajajinagar.
