19-year-old fabricator killed in accident

A 19-year-old fabricator was killed and four others, including a three-year-old boy, were injured when a KSRTC bus allegedly jumped a signal and collided with their car.

The incident took place at Rajajinagar early on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi Kiran, a resident of Laggere.

He was accompanying his friend, whose three-year-old son had developed health complications, to the hospital. The child, Sumanth, was one of the injured.

A KSRTC bus, from Haveri heading towards Majestic, allegedly jumped the signal and collided with the car.

As a result, the car turned turtle and Ravi was killed on the spot. Passers-by rushed the injured passengers to a hospital in the area.

“Sumanth, his father, Gangadharm, his mother Varalakshmi, and the taxi driver Puneeth are being treated and are said to be out of danger,” added the police.
