The final allocation of all-India service officers and the resultant reshuffle by the State government has ended months of suspense brining heads to GVMC and VUDA. The reshuffle also led to a new Joint Collector and change in the helm at EPDCL that covers five districts. With these important changes, District Collector N. Yuvaraj continues with an all-new team.

Joint Collector Pravin Kumar, who has been in-charge Municipal Commissioner after the transfer of M.V. Satyanarayana and after that of M. Janaki finally heads the all-important GVMC.

With Mr. Pravin Kumar being shifted to GVMC, J. Nivas will be the new Joint Collector.

VUDA has acquired new significance after the Chief Minister’s announcement that he would head the Visakhapatnam Metro Development Authority and Babu Rao Naidu took over as its Vice-Chairman on Wednesday.

The State government plans to celebrate Visakha Utsav for three days from January 23 and appointing the new VUDA V-C who is the convener of the utsav Committee comes just in time.

With EPDCL CMD M.V. Seshagiri Babu, who also held charge as VUDA V-C being shifted, the distribution company will now be headed by Revu Mutyalaraju. Mr. Seshagiri Babu is transferred as Joint Collector of Krishna district.

The reshuffle, however, leaves ITDA, Paderu, headless with V. Vinay Chand being posted as Municipal Commissioner of Tirupati.
