Workshop on Carnatic music

Disciple of M. Balamurali Krishna and Carnatic music exponent Rama Varma will conduct a two-day workshop on Carnatic classical music at Ukkunagaram.

The two-day workshop, being organised by Visakha Steel Cultural Association, Ukkunagaram Club and Ukkunagaram branch of Sangeetha Janakulam, will be held at Ukku Club on Saturday and Sunday evening.

Rama Varma, a descendent of Swati Tirunal, is well known for his lecture demonstrations and would be conducting the workshop to help students learning Indian classical music. There is no registration fee and admission would be on first-come-first-served basis. Already 150 candidates have expressed interest in participating, according to VSCA secretary A Kesava Rao.
