Butter milk and lassi stalls came up at street corners and on the National Highway providing relief to exhausted road users. Cap sellers did brisk business. Thousands of people converged on the beaches by the evening and had a dip in the water. Meanwhile, the IMD predicted a fall in day temperatures over Andhra Pradesh by about 2 degree Celsius from Tuesday.

“The heat wave conditions in AP are likely to continue for one more day. However, isolated thundershowers are likely over north coastal AP from Tuesday. The upper air trough over Chhattisgarh is getting moisture from the Bay of Bengal and this gives fair chance for isolated thundershowers,” said Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) spokesman.
