‘We were treated well’

October 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Being released from the captivity, Mr. Balayya Padal, Mr. Balayya and Mr. Mahesh were a happy lot. “They (Maoists) treated us well. Neither were we beaten up not abused,” they said, adding that they were kept blindfolded during the day and they had no clue as to where they were being taken.

“We were worried as no news came from the government side, even after our families met the Chief Minister in Visakhapatnam on October 12. We were scared as the extended deadline was fast approaching,” Mr. Balayya Padal said.

It is learnt that TDP men would quit the party after discussing the issue with their fellow workers.
