With a clear one month of summer vacation available children are busy during mornings and evenings learning or improving their skills in the summer camps organised by various organisations.
The latest to start the annual summer camp for children is Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Over a thousand boys and girls are participating in the camps being held in athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, cricket, football, hockey, lawn tennis, throwball, roller-skating, volleyball and Yoga. Forty coaches will run the camps. The Sports Department of VSP is conducting the camps which will conclude on May 19. Director (personnel) G.B.S. Prasad inaugurated the camps at Col. C.K. Nayudu Ukku stadium on Monday. He took salute at a march past of participating children who were accompanied by the CISF band. Boiled egg, sprouts and lime juice would be provided to the children during the morning session and sprouts and lime juice during the evening session, Assistant General Manager (Sports) M.S.
