January 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Village Revenue Officer (VRO) of Aganampudi K.V.S.V. Prasad Rao was arrested by officials of Anti Corruption of Bureau while he was accepting bribe of Rs. 2,500 from a complainant in the Revenue Office at Gajuwaka.

DSP of ACB Narava Ramesh said that Prasad Rao had demanded Rs. 2,500 for processing and issuance of caste certificate to the complainant’s daughter.

Vexed with the harassment, the complainant approached the ACB officials and after verifying the facts the ACB team laid a trap and caught the VRO red-handed.
