A CISF Dog Squad was inducted at Visakhapatnam airport on Wednesday.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had procured four Labradors. The police sniffer dogs as also six CISF dog handlers underwent six months training course at the National Training Centre for Dogs, BSF, Tekanpur in Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh).

They would be placed on duty along with the dog handlers at the airport for regular checking of passenger baggage and to carry out anti-sabotage check of the airport before departure and arrival of VVIPs at the airport. Airport Director S.S. Krishna Kumar, Assistant General Manager (Terminal Management) D. Rajaraman, and Chief Airport Security Officer (CISF) A.K.
