Visakha Dairy products to be cheaper

It plans to pass on reduction of tax to consumers

After nationwide roll-out of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from midnight of July 1, some essential commodities are set to become cheaper.

Following this, Visakha Dairy Chairman A. Tulasi Rao said the benefit of the reduction of taxes on ghee, sweets, cream and butter will be passed on to the consumers with effect from July 1.

Managing director S.V. Ramana informed that consumer prices across the board will be reduced after implementation of GST rates from July 1.

Meanwhile, the Visakhapatnam Central GST Commissionerate is organising ‘GST Day’ at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday at CR Building, Port Area.

The Commissioner of Central Tax, Visakhapatnam Central GST Commissionerate B. Hareram will inaugurate the event. Senior officers of the department and members of the trade will be present.
