A B. Tech graduate allegedly ended his life near the Rushikonda beach in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

B. Yashwanth (24) was reportedly battling depression as he was unemployed for the last two years. Police said he ended his life by wading into the sea. The incident came to light after Yashwanth’s body floated ashore opposite the Rama Naidu Studios hillock on Sunday morning.

Yashwanth was a native of Gummalakshmipuram in Vizianagaram district and lived in MVP Colony in the city.

PM Palem Sub-Inspector G. Ravi Kumar said that Yashwanth completed his B.Tech two years ago and was in search of a job ever since.

He had even made several futile attempts to get through banking entrance examinations.

On October 5, at around 5 p.m., Yashwanth reportedly went out and did not return home.

His family and friends launched a search for him on Sunday morning.

At around 10 a.m. on Sunday, PM Police found Yashwanth’s body on the beach near Rama Naidu Studios.

Police sent the body for post-mortem and registered a case.
