Two held on burglary charge

The Central Crime Station arrested a former home guard and his fiancee on the charge of burglary on Sunday. The police also recovered 150 gm of gold ornaments from the duo.

The arrested were identified as K. Trinadh (31) and his fiancée whose name was not revealed by the police.

Inspector of III-Town (crime wing) K.S.N. Konda said Trinadh, a resident of Maddilapalem area in the city, along with the woman committed the offence from the house of one D. Koteswara Rao. The victim was also the neighbour of Trinadh’s fiancée.

Police said that Koteswara Rao’s daughter and the girl were friends and she would visit Koteswara Rao’s house. Trinadh, who was desperately in need of money asked his fiancée to arrange some money.

To fulfil his dreams, the girl had given the idea to burgle the house of her neighbour. They committed the offence on May 21, when Mr. Koteswara and his family members were away.
