Two engineering students of GMR Institute of Technology, Rajam were drowned in Madduvalasa reservoir near here. Their bodies were traced on Saturday morning.
According to police, the deceased were identified as M.Sai Tarun (19) and U.Ram Teja (19).
A group of students went to the reservoir on a holiday trip. The two victims slipped accidentally into the reservoir on Friday night. Both the students were second year students GMRITllege in Rajam. While.Sai Charan belonged to Vizianagaram and Ram Teja was native of Rajam.
The families of the victims were shocked on hearing the tragedy and rushed to the spot. Rajam Circle Inspector M.Veera Kumar filed a case and made arrangements to send bodies for post-mortem at Rajam government hospital.
