Train services on K-K line restored

Train services on the K-K line, which have been affected on Thursday night, following fall of boulders due to incessant rains between Tyda and Chimidipalle Station on the Kottavalasa – Kirandul line were restored on Friday.

Train No. 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam passenger was controlled at Borra Guhalu Station, 08511 Jagdalpur-Visakhapatnam and train No. 08512 Visakhapatnam-Jagdalpur were diverted to run via Rayagada with diesel power, 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger was short terminated at Koraput to run as 58501 from Koraput to Kirandul on Friday, 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul passenger leaving Visakhapatnam was cancelled on Friday.

Railway authorities undertook restoration works on a war-footing. They arranged 10 buses to shift 478 stranded passengers to Visakhapatnam, according to DCM G. Suneel Kumar.
