Traffic restrictions for Naidu’s public meeting

The city police planned diversion of vehicles on Saturday in view of the public meeting to be addressed by Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu at AU Engineering College ground, Commissioner of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy informed in a press release on Thursday.

If necessary, heavy vehicles proceeding from Anakapalle towards Srikakulam and Vizianagaram would be diverted at Lankelapalem towards Anandapuram on the State Highway from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Vehicles from Vizianagaram and Srikakulam towards Anakapalle, Parawada and Elamanchili would be diverted to Lankelapalem and Sabbavaram at Anandapuram.

All vehicles entering the city from Lankelapalem, Kothavalasa and Sabbavaram would be diverted at Pendurthi via Anandapuram or Lankelapalem into the city. Vehicles from Pendurthi and Anandpuram towards Adavivaram via Sontyam would be diverted towards Hanumanthawaka and Jodugullapalem.

All heavy vehicles proceeding from Gajuwaka, Maddilapalem and Convent junction towards Gopalapatnam via NAD junction would be diverted towards Lankelapalem at the NAD junction.

Depending on the need, all vehicles, including APSRTC buses coming from Gajuwaka towards the city, would be diverted at Sheela Nagar junction towards Convent junction via the Port road. Also vehicles from Srikakulam and Vizianagaram proceeding towards Gajuwaka would be diverted at Thatichetlapalem towards Sheelanagar via Kancharapalem Mettu, Convent junction and Port road.

Vehicle passing through junctions at Autonagar, Venkojipalem, Maddilapalem, Isukathota, Peda Waltair, Siripuram, Seven Hills, Aseelmetta, Rama Talkies, Satyam junction and Venkojipalem would be diverted for some time depending on the need.

Parking of vehicles

Vehicles from Gajuwaka have to be parked at a place behind Kinnera theatre. Two-wheelers have to be parked at the parking areas arranged by the TDP.

VIPs and VVIPs attending the meeting have to get down from their vehicles at the Maddilapalem junction and vehicles have to be parked on the Dr. VS Krishna College ground. Mr. Shivadhar Reddy said that traffic might be diverted, depending on the need, between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday on the National Highway, at Maddilapalem and AU Engineering College, Siripuram junction to Peda Waltair and Siripuram to Park Hotel junction and requested the people to use alternative routes and cooperate with the police.
