The prevailing upper air cyclonic circulation may trigger light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places in the north coastal Andhra districts on Tursday, meteorology officials have said.
The upper air cyclonic circulation extending up to 1.5 km above the mean sea level lies over south Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining north interior Karnataka. A trough runs from this system to south Tamil Nadu, across south interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above the mean sea level, a report issued by the IMD said on Sunday.
Thunderstorm, accompanied with gusty winds and lightning, is very likely to occur at isolated places in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari districts on Tuesday. Light to moderate rain is also expected at isolated places in north coastal A.P. they said.
‘Mecury levels may go up’
However, dry weather is likely prevail over Rayalaseema on Monday and Tuesday. The maximum temperatures are likely to remain above the normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius at a few places.
