C.V. Subrahmanyam, Senior Special News Photographer of The Hindu has bagged the third prize in the colour section category for his picture titled ‘sleeping with pet’ and a consolation prize in black and white category at the State-level photography competitions organised by the Chirala Camera Club (CCC).
K. Mohan Krishna from Tirumala, S. Sai Meghana from Chirala bagged the first and second prizes in the colour section. A. Rajasekhar from Guntur, K. Nageswara Rao from Kakinada and Saleem from Vijayawada got the special awards. Eleven other lensmen were selected for consolation prizes, a statement issued by CCC secretary Shankam Suresh said on Tuesday.
National Camera Day
In all, 62 photographers had submitted 456 entries for the competitions. The entries were judged by noted photographers R.V. Sarma and T. Veerabhadra Rao. The awards will be presented to the winners at a function, scheduled to be organised at Chirala on June 29, marking the National Camera Day.
