Thanks to ‘Spoorthi’, Girijan youth shine in written test

All but 27 of the 500 Girijan youths from Visakha Agency who have undergone coaching for selection to paramilitary forces have qualified in the written test.

This followed by a 30-day intensive coaching at Paderu by professional trainers requisitioned from Hyderabad, Guntur, Kakinada, and other places. The coaching was conducted under ‘Spoorthi’ programme taken up as part of community policing by the district police, CRPF, and ITDA of Paderu. The Girijan boys and girls were trained, among others, by B.V. Pattabhiram and Yendamuri Veerendranath.

Collector N. Yuvaraj, DIG of Police A. Ravi Chandra, and Superintendent of Police Koya Praveen supervised the programme personally as it was conducted by ASP of Paderu A. Babuji and ITDA PO M. Harinarayanan and their staff.

Dr. Praveen, during the monthly crime review meeting, appreciated the Paderu Police Sub-Division officers and others for providing good training to the Girijan youth and presented them mementoes.

Dr. Praveen inaugurated the renovated premises of SBX wing. OSD Vishal Gunni, Additional SPs R. Satyanarayana and N.J. Rajkumar, Mr. Babuji, DSPs R. Raghavendra, A. Purushottam, Y.V. Ramana, S. Bhushanam Naidu, Shakeela Banu, P.V. Krishna Varma, L. Mohana Rao, S.V.D. Prasad, CI SBX A. Venkata Rao and others participated in the crime meeting.
