TDP MLA plans a series of programmes for the poor

Reaching out to the economically weaker sections of society in Visakhapatnam East Assembly segment a number of individual benefit schemes are scheduled to be taken up over nine days starting Sunday by Visakha East MLA Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu.

The programme is being taken up from Sunday to mark the 19{+t}{+h}death anniversary of founder of Telugu Desam Party N.T. Rama Rao, the MLA told media here on Friday. A bust of N.T. Rama Rao would be unveiled at Indira Nagar colony.

On Sunday morning a blood donation camp would be organised at his constituency office in MVP Colony. On Monday he would be conduct a blood donation camp and a medical camp in Indira Nagar in his constituency. He would distribute blankets to the deprived persons, he added.

Keeping in with the tradition of founder of Telugu Desam Party N.T. Rama Rao, followed by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, for welfare of economically weaker sections, the MLA would be taking up distribution of individual assets, he said.

The MLA would also distribute tricycles to physically challenged persons and garbage carrying rickshaws to sanitary workers of the GVMC. A number of Telugu Desam party leaders were present.
