Students of Bala Vikas and other institutes observed ‘pada puja’ on Sunday on the eve of Eswaramma Day in honour of the mother of Sri Sathya Sai Baba to create awareness on values of childhood.

Children in large numbers applied turmeric, vermilion and sandal to the feet of their parents and other elders and presented fruits as a symbol of their love at Sri Sai Sadan. Children recited Sai Gayatri and Ganesh Stothram on the occasion.

Later, quiz was conducted to the parents on spirituality and general science.
