Students of various schools in the city secured top grades in the SSC examination, the results of which were released on Thursday.
The district achieved 87.04 per cent passes, six per cent more than last year, according to DEO Krishnaveni. The pass percentage among boys was 76.15 and for girls it is 86.93.
Students of Adarsh Talent School secured 100 per cent results. Of the 45 students who appeared, 14 secured between 9 and 10 points, 15 got between 8 and 9 points, according to school director P. Srinivasa Rao.
In Pollocks School, of the 258 students who appeared, 125 bagged points between 9.8 and 9 points, according to Principal Sandeep Chitra.
In Sri Prakash, T. Sri Teja bagged 10 out of 10 points on the CGPA scale, NSRS Prashanth Kumar 10/10, 37 students bagged 9.8 points and 140 students bagged above 9.5 points, according to director Ch. Vasu Prakash.
Municipal schools registered a pass percentage of 73.24 with 895 of the 1,222 students from 17 schools who took the examination coming through. The Prakasaraopet school topped with 86.05 per cent followed by KNM Girls High School (83.64 per cent) and New Colony and MGM high schools registering 83.33 per cent.
