Six killed, 11 injured in road mishap in Vizianagaram district

Six persons including a woman were killed and eleven others were injured when the jeep in which they were travelling dashed against a tree at Atchuthapuram junction in Gurla mandal of the district today.

According to the police, in all 17 people were proceeding to Cheepurupalli from Visakhapatnam in the jeep when the driver lost control and hit a road-side tree after the front tyre of the vehicle suddenly burst.

Two people were killed on the spot. The injured have been admitted to government hospital at Gurla.
