Signatures won’t change people’s fate, says JP

May 01, 2014 01:08 am | Updated 01:08 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

Lok Satta Party founder Jayaprakash Narayan on Wednesday took a dig at YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy by saying signatures would not change the destiny of people.

“If he is really committed let him donate his assets worth crores of rupees to people,” he said at a road show organised by his party at Akkayyapalem 80-ft. road junction.

Coming down heavily on YSR Congress and Telugu Desam Party for indulging in vote bank politics and drama over bifurcation he said without naming them that the people knew wellwho was responsible for Hyderabad-centric development. “Now that party is trying to mislead public by promising to convert every town and city into Dubai and New York,” he stated.

The Lok Satta founder also held road shows at Gajuwaka, NAD Junction, Maddilapalem and Jagadamba Junction.

Mr. Narayan claimed credit for the package promised by the Centre for Seemandhra and pointed out how the points raised by him were articulated by the BJP in the Rajya Sabha leading to announcement of package for the residual State of Andhra Pradesh.

He appealed to the people to vote for Lok Satta saying they should not think that it would go waste.
