‘Separate budget for ryots in offing’

Finance Minister Y. Ramakrishnudu has reiterated that the State government has decided to announce a separate budget exclusively for farmers.

Speaking to reporters at Korukonda, he said A.P. was the first State to waive loans, primarily those obtained by farmers, to the tune of Rs. 48,000 crore. The government was launching a spree of welfare programmes including NTR Sujala aimed at supply of 20 litres of water at Rs. 2 from October 2.
