Principal Secretary, Agriculture, A. C. Punetha, on Thursday reviewed the loss incurred by farmers in the recent torrential rain.
He ascertained from agriculture officials the loss in the kharif season and the assessment carried out by them and the current condition of crops.
Seed generation
Mr. Punetha also reviewed the implementation of seed generation, mechanisation, crop loans, loan eligibility cards, interest-free loans and “pavala” interest schemes and that of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA).
Agriculture Joint Director K. Laksmana Rao and ATMA Project Director Siva Prasad participated in the review meeting.
