In a bid to cater to the needs of its ‘elite’ customers. the State Bank of India has launched wealth business services in the name of ‘SBI Wealth’ at the branches on the Main Road and Maharanipeta in the city.

The services were formally declared open separately by SBI Chief General Manager (Amaravati Circle) Mani Palvesan, in the presence CGM (Wealth Management) Giridhar Kiny, General Managers Raghuram Shetty, R.V. Deshpande, DGM M.B. Diwakar and AGM V.V. Radhakrishna Murthy on Saturday. Later, SBI Managing Director (Retail and Digital Banking) P.K. Gupta interacted with the customers.

SBI Wealth

“SBI Wealth aims at following a new approach of interacting with its ‘elite’ customers to provide a comprehensive and the best-in-class banking experience. The clients will have the flexibility to invest, transact and view their portfolios through digital channels such as internet banking, mobile and remote relationship model. The bank has tied up with several leading technology and product partners to provide extensive suite of privilege products and lifestyle benefits,” Mr. Gupta said.

The new business initiative was aimed at serving bank’s high networth individuals (HNI) clientèle on a technology-driven platform with a dedicated team of relationship managers to offer personalised services, said Mr. Palvesan.

He said offering investment services through an unbiased open investment platform would be hallmark of the SBI Wealth.

Global health centre

The bank is now offering wealth business at 16 major cities with a network of 83 wealth hubs across the country. It will be further expanded to 27 centres. The bank has also business services for NRIs. It’s planning to set up a state-of-the-art global health centre to serve NRIs.

Mr. Gupta, at a meeting held later, explained about the YONO (You Only Need One) – an integrated digital banking platform launched by the bank to enable users to access a variety of financial and other services. It is offered as a smartphone app for both Android and iOS users.
