RS poll: TDP candidates file papers

Today is the last date for filing of nominations

Telugu Desam candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections -- C.M. Ramesh and Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar -- filed their nominations at the Secretariat on Monday.

They were accompanied by their family members and supporters. March 13 is the last date for filing of nominations and the elections are scheduled to be held on March 23.

The two leaders met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at his chambers in the first block and thanked him for reposing confidence in them and promised to live up to expectations.

Renomination

This is renomination for Mr. Ramesh, a native of Kadapa district, while Mr. Ravindra Kuma is a Vijayawada-based advocate, who heads the Telugu Desam Party’s legal cell for a long time and argued for high profile cases.
