Visakha Humour Club enthralled the audience with its humorous skits and jokes as part of New Year celebrations at Kalabharathi auditorium here on Thursday.

The ‘Haasya Vallari’ also marked the 1,200th programme of the club. Jokes pertaining to literary field, hospitals, shopping malls, students and married couples formed part of the skits presented on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, N. Prabhakar, one of the founder’s of the club, said that humour could be turned out by watching people and situations. The club had presented a skit at Tirupati recently to mark the birth anniversary of film director Bapu. Actor and writer Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, actor Raavi Kondala Rao and some others, who were responsible for starting of the Humour Club in Visakhapatnam in the year 2000, participated in the celebrations.
