RINL to train employees of Nagarnar Steel Plant

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, and National Mineral Development Corporation, both State-owned entities under the Ministry of Steel, signed a MoU for training executive trainees appointed for Nagarnar Steel Plant.

The MoU, which was signed on Tuesday at Hyderabad, enables RINL to train the employees of the three million tonne plant being set up near Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh by the NMDC.

Skill development

The MOU was signed by RINL Director (Personnel) G.B.S. Prasad and NMDC Executive Director (Personnel & Administration) Sandeep Tula.

A RINL release stated here that the MoU would help executive trainees of the NMDC gain from the process of knowledge transfer, skill development, quality training and experience in all the major units of the VSP. After training at the VSP, the NMDC executive trainees would be ready to take up the operations and maintenance of their steel plant.

“The MoU will lead to strengthening the relationship between the two public sector companies,” a RINL official said.
