Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited director (commercial) P. Raychaudhury on Wednesday said they were keen on increasing their presence in rural areas.
He was addressing the all India rural dealers’ meet of RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, at Ukkunagaram to explore the ways in which support could be extended to rural dealers.
Mr. Raychaudhury said they were holding such a meeting for the first time and in future they would hold many more at branch and regional level for better interaction.
He observed that RINL would lend technical and logistic support to rural dealers. RINL products had wide acceptance in the market as they were made from 100% virgin steel with stringent specifications in both physical and chemical properties to meet the demand of suit the market for a wide array of customers, he said.
Later he released a special brochure on “RINL Rural Marketing” brought out by Commercial Division and distributed certificates to the rural dealers on the occasion.
During the interaction, the participants shared their ideas about how they could contribute for ensuring better presence of Vizag Steel in the rural market.
