Rare photographs of Bapu on display

Introducing students to some of the rare photographs of Mahatma Gandhi, Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan organised an exhibition on its school premises to mark Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday.

Apart from a bunch of unique pictures, an unusual collection of stamps were also put up at the venue.

The pictures and the stamps were collected by K. Subrahmanyam, a retired lecturer of Zoology for over 15 years.

He said that his collection of pictures and stamps was a great source of inspiration for younger generation.

Some of the pictures displayed also included Mahtma Gandhi with Lal Bahadur Shastri, Rabindranath Tagore, renowned physicist Albert Einstein and Charlie Chaplin, among several others.

Children of the school had a chance to view some of the rare photographs of Bapu. They felt that the exhibition provided a great learning experience that they would cherish for the rest of their lives.
