Rachabanda, a platform for interaction: Minister

Minister for Tribal Welfare P. Balaraju has stated that the Rachabanda programme is aimed at ensuring all welfare schemes reach the targeted sections including ration cards, housing and pensions. Participating in Rachabanda programme at Chodavaram on Friday, he said that it provided a platform for the government and people to connect and know the status of the implementation of welfare schemes. The subsidised rice scheme is benefiting more than 11 lakh families and is costing the government to the tune of Rs.2,600 crore. District Additional Collector S. Satyanarayana said that said that 855 pensions, 699 houses and 2424 ration cards for new beneficiaries have been sanctioned.

Chodavaram MLA K.S.N.S. Raju called upon the people to get benefited by all the schemes by applying for them following the procedures and norms.

ZP CEO D.V. Reddy and former MLA Karanam Dharma Sri and officials including Housing Corporation project director Prasada Rao were present.
