Three persons of a family were killed, allegedly by a relative, in a property dispute at Shramikanagar near China Mushidivada on Sunday.
M. Sanyasi Rao (70), his wife Yellayamma (65) and son Rambabu (36) were found dead in a pool of blood at their house.
Police said the three were attacked by Sanyasi Rao’s son-in-law Asiri Naidu with a rod after heated exchanges over a property dispute. Rambabu’s throat was also slit.
Rambabu’s son Ganesh, intermediate student, who was unaware that the three were killed, came home later. Naidu had put a hood on his face stating that they would play a game and attacked him.
Ganesh managed to escape and reached KGH for treatment, according to ACP (North) C. M. Naidu.
With the incident coming to their notice, police went to the house and found that after killing three persons Naidu had locked the doors of the room and fled.
The ACP said Naidu who hails from Vizianagaram district sells water in Hyderabad and is involved in a dispute over a property the family owned in East Godavari district. He had also borrowed Rs.50,000 from Sanyasi Rao.
