Preliminary report by AU

A team of senior professors of Andhra University, headed by HoD of Meteorology and Oceanogarphy K.V.S.R. Prasad, constituted by Vice-Chancellor G.S.N. Raju to study the large-scale beach erosion that happened recently and to provide solutions, submitted its preliminary report on Thursday.

As a short-term measure the team suggested construction of a 45 degree slope concrete sea wall to safeguard the existing sea wall and as long-term measures, submerged break waters beyond the area where the waves break must be constructed and to protect the submarine museum two groynes on both sides should be provided, the team suggested.
