Praveen Kumar assumes office

A computer application will be introduced to improve civic services and office automation to user in paperless office, Municipal Commissioner Pravin Kumar has said.

Social media would be used to create awareness among citizens and to receive grievances and feedback, he said after assuming office on Thursday.

GVMC would coordinate with VUDA in implementing the Master Plan.

As part of improving sanitation, 125 of the 191 public toilets would be improved and Rs.3.25 crore would be spent on repairs, Mr. Pravin Kumar said.

While plans for Smart City with the US collaboration were on the anvil, the municipal corporation would focus on sanitation, water supply, solid waste management, roads and transportation.

He appealed to citizens to co-operate with the initiatives of the corporation.
