Public Relations Society of India celebrated National Public Relations Day on Saturday. The theme of this year is ‘Indian democracy: Mantra for effective elections.’ Speaking on the occasion Prof. A. Prasanna Kumar, former rector of AU, said electoral reforms should be introduced as early as possible.
Former DGP of Delhi S. Vasudeva Rao discussed various challenges that emerge during election process and regretted that many institutions were turning partisan.
On this occasion, PRSI honoured V. Mani Ram, Deputy Director (I&PR) and AVVS Murthy (Badamgir Sai) for their contribution in their respective fields of PR and art and culture.
Prof. DVR Murthy, Chairman, PRSI presided. Secretary P.L.K. Murthy proposed a vote of thanks.
