Post offices to sell Pushkaram water

Post Offices in Visakhapatnam Postal Division (comprising the GVMC area) will sell Godavari Pushkaram water (Godavari Jalam, God-Jal).

The water collected from the Godavari during the Pushkaram period between July 14 and 25, will be purified in an 18-stage process complying with the Bureau of Indian Standards, before being bottled in 500 ml bottles and sold, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices K.V.L.N. Murty informed at a press conference. Each bottle is priced at Rs. 20. Booking for the bottles commenced at all the 160 post offices in the division, including the two Head Post Offices on Friday. The booking closes on July 14.
