A fortnight-long photo exhibition on the life, works and teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda is to begin on Sunday at the Rajiv Smruthi Bhavan.
The photo exhibition would have nearly 90 exhibits covering many facets of the great master’s life and works including some very rare photos. The exhibition will be open to public daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entry to the exhibition is free, managing trustee of Tarakeswara Foundation Sehdev Singh said in a statement here.
The author of spiritual classic ‘Autobiography of a Yogi,’ Paramahansa Yogananda was probably the only Hindu spiritual master who gave masterly and authoritative interpretations of three of the world’s major scriptures from three different religions: the Bhagavad Gita of the Hindus, the Christian Bible and the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam of the Sufi Islam.
The exhibition is being organised at the Rajiv Smruthi Bhavan on the Beach Road to mark the 121{+s}{+t}birth anniversary of the Guru which was on January 5. It would continue through the three-day Visakha Utsav, Mr. Singh added.
