Prime Minister Narendra Modi had increased the prestige of India on the international stage with his development programmes during the last three years, MP and BJP State president Kambhampati Haribabu has said.
He inaugurated a photo exhibition, organised jointly by the Directorate of Audio Visual Publicity (DAVP) and Directorate of Field Publicity here on Thursday as part of the ‘Sab ke saath sab ke vikas’ programme.
Mr. Haribabu said the demonetisation of currency notes, which was done with the objective of rooting out corruption, was hailed by people. He hoped that demonetisation would have a positive effect on the economy of the nation. The NDA government stood for the welfare of the poor and development of the nation. He said programmes like ‘Beti bachao, beti padhao’, PM Jan Dhan Yojana and Mudra had brought revolutionary changes, particularly in the rural areas. The credit of implementing a uniform tax system across the country through the implementation of GST and achieving a growth rate of 7.1 goes to the Prime Minister, he said. MLC PVN Madhav spoke.
DAVP Field Exhibition Officer P. Krishna and DFP Assistant Director Srinivas Mahesh were present. The exhibition will be on till June 12.
