Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s ‘long march’ has once again proved that the party is dancing to the tunes of TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao has said.

Addressing the media, along with Visakhapatnam MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana and VMRDA Chairman Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao here on Monday, he flayed Mr. Kalyan’s for his ‘tirade’ against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRCP leaders.

“Mr. Kalyan should know that his party was defeated in the last general elections due to his secret pact with the Telugu Desam Party,” Mr. Srinivasa Rao said.

He said that the JSP president had devoted time in making verbal attacks on the government and the YSRCP leaders instead of focusing on the problems of the construction workers.

‘Political novice’

Describing Mr. Kalyan as a ‘political novice’, the Minister said that this was indicated when the Jana Sena chief invited to both the BJP and the Left parties for his ‘long march’ .

“The ideological differences between those parties are well-known. The TDP has no ideology and it can go with any party,” the Tourism Minister alleged.

Sand scarcity

Admitting there was shortage of sand, the Minister said that 57,000 tonnes of sand had been supplied till date and the shortage was only 2,000 tonnes.

Mr. Dronamraju Srinivas took strong exceptions to the JSP chief making ‘personal attacks’ against the Chief Minister and YSRCP leaders and described it as ‘character assassination’.
