Paintings in vivid colours catch the visitors’ eye

The exhibition being jointly organised by Universal Arts Association and Surya Arts Academywill be on till Sunday.

Art gives a peace of mind and children should be encouraged to take it up, Chairperson Zilla Parishad Lalam Bhavani said after inaugurating and going round the solo exhibition of retired art teacher B. Suryanarayana.

The ZP Chairperson appreciated the works of art on display at the Visakha Museum on the beach road after inaugurating it on Friday evening. The retired art teacher who has won many awards as a teacher put up a solo exhibition in which around 40 paintings were on display.

The exhibition being jointly organised by Universal Arts Association and Surya Arts Academy will be on till Sunday.

The vivid colours and attention to detail of the artist caught the attention of the visitors. Mr. Suryanarayana, who was an art teacher for over two decades, displayed his skill and patience in the works.

The paintings on display ranged from still life, tribal life, study of sculpture and abstracts. Sayya of Universal Arts Association and noted artist N.S. Sarma and director of Surya Academy of Arts Sankar Neelu were present at the inauguration.
