As part of its initiative to help create an ecosystem of volunteerism in the country, the Young Indian wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry is organising a number of events to mark the National Volunteering Week from Sunday.

The pan India initiative calls on every Indian to contribute time and skill to make a difference in the lives of fellow citizens and foster an ethos of selfless service, according to a release issued here.

This programme dovetails into the CII India@75 initiative taken up in 2008 to give a sharper focus to agenda of nation building.
