Congress president Sonia Gandhi has shot herself in both her feet by roping in YSR Congress and the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, to fulfil her desire to make her “dumb son” (Moddabbai) Rahul Gandhi Prime Minister of the country, Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu said during his tour of flood-affected areas of the district on Monday.

“She wants to divide the Telugu people (as part this plan) and damage the future of youth of the State in this match fixing.

The Italian-born lady does not understand the feelings of Telugu people and hurt the pride of Telugus but we can counter her moves and the Telugu Desam Party, formed by NTR and had taught a lesson to the Centre in the past would show the might of Telugus to the rulers of Delhi”, Mr. Naidu said.

He termed the MPs of Congress as pet dogs of Ms. Sonia Gandhi, who has become a curse to the nation. The Congress has brought disgrace to the country by having person like Botcha Satyanarayana and Kiran Kumar Reddy and supporting Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and K. Chandrasekhara Rao, who all turned India into a country of looters.

While he was with the flood-affected people sharing their problems, the YSR Congress leader had organised a big rally to spread Ms. Sonia’s idea of dividing the State and to quicken the process, Mr. Naidu said.

For him the people, particularly the poor, were the high command but for Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Mr. Botcha Satyanarayana and Mr. Jagan it was Ms. Sonia, the former Chief Minister said.

He wondered how Mr. Jagan could propagate and ensure unity of the State by contesting in 175 seats only and the TRS assure division by being in the fray in 117 seats only. Both these leaders are acting according to the script penned by Ms. Sonia Gandhi, he said. The TRS not opposing Mr. Jagan’s meeting in Hyderabad and trying to put obstacles in the way of APNGOs’ meeting in the past clearly showed there was a deal between the three parties, Mr. Naidu said.

At M. Jagganadhapuram, a woman who was among the 25 brought home by TDP from Chardham yatra after the area received floods, thanked Mr. Naidu. At Munagapaka and few other places, women complained of spiralling prices of commodities and blamed government for not taking action.

Mr. Naidu observed the huge area flooded near Anakapalle from the Kotturu bridge before visiting Munagapaka, Thimmarajupeta, Haripalem, Yerravaram, Uppavaram, Mallavaram, M. Jagannadhapuram, Chuchukonda, Ganaparthi, Penugollu along with Dharmavaram and Gokulapalem (S. Rayavaram mandal), Elamanchili and Payakaraopeta, before leaving for East Godavari.
