Meet to introduce Balagopal’s books tomorrow

A compilation of K Balagopal’s works on different subjects was brought out as books and launched at the recent meeting of the Human Rights Forum.

On Sunday, the HRF is holding a meeting to introduce the book, ‘Development - Destruction’, written by Balagopal.

The book is a collection of essays written by the noted human rights activist on issues relating to corporate land grab, response of judiciary, coastal corridor, current destructive developmental paradigm and violence it inflicts upon the livelihood of common people and the environment.

At the meet to be organised at the Builders Association Hall at Siripuram, former Union secretary E.A.S. Sarma and HRF district general secretary N.N. Srinivasa Rao would speak on the books, a HRF release said.
