Making the most of summer vacation and working together for a school project, a group of 20 students teams up to understand the coexistence between humans and animals by presenting an engrossing playlet.

Featured by The Launch Pad along with Humane Society International as part of the second batch of the storytelling and theatre workshop, ‘The Animal Trail’, the tale, ‘We Are The Dream’, comes alive on stage with emotional scenes at the programme organised at a hotel here on Sunday.

From a young girl who rescues a stray dog and convinces her parents to adopt the animal to a doctor who treats an injured elephant and the declining trend in tending a cow at home, the narrative portrayed how the journey would be entirely different if every individual contributed to ethical treatment of animals.

What played a significant role in the entire show was how children enacted the scenes with ease and confidence.

Combined with loads of fun and a social message to carry forward, the theatre presentation kept its focus on changing one’s approach towards animals by bringing down the cruelty meted out to them and making the world a better place to live.

Certificate course

Explaining the next training programme, The Launch Pad’s founder and master-trainer Sangitaa Sehgall said: “It is a certificate course in graded examinations in spoken English, which will be held in association with Trinity College London. The programme aims at all age groups and is scheduled to commence from July 1. The syllabus includes language functions, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, among other subjects.”
