Liquor seized in CTF raids

A City Task Force (CTF) team, led by Inspector R. Mallikarjuna Rao, raided four premises, as part of ban of sale of liquor on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and seized huge quantity of liquor being sold surreptitiously and arrested five persons.

Raids were conducted at Simhachalam, Maddilapalem, Dabagardens and Tagarpuvalasa.

The CTF team seized 77 full bottles, 1091 quarter bottles and 37 sample bottles of various brands.

Other raids

The Prohibition and Excise Department also conducted raids at various places, but the major catch was at Seethammadhara and HB Colony.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of the Department, Vivekananda Reddy, 43 sample bottles were seized from two places in Seethammadhara and HB Colony in Visakhapatnam.
