Lifer for killing wife

A Girijan, who was an accused in a ganja smuggling case, was convicted to undergo life imprisonment under Section 302 and also pay a fine of Rs. 1,000 for killing his wife following an altercation when she wanted him to avoid ganja smuggling.

Principal District Judge V. Jayasurya on Wednesday found Vanthala Nandho of Duppalvada village under Sileru Police Station limits, guilty of killing his wife Vanthala Myno on October 9, 2012 by indiscriminately beating her with a stick on the road in front their house and she died on the spot, according to Public Prosecutor M. Venugopala Rao.
