Here's good news for Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) subscribers falling under the jurisdiction of the Sub Regional Office of EPF Organisation, Sub Regional Office, Visakhapatnam. They can now check the balances in their EPF account up to date and the details of accounts updated (which includes the latest approved transactions of settlements/advances/transfer-in/transfer-out), if any.
The ‘Know your EPF balance' service has been extended to EPF subscribers in the region with effect from Tuesday, according to Regional PF Commissioner Ajeet Kumar. Details of the new feature can be had from the home page of the EPFO website at www.epfindia.com . On selecting the State and EPFO office, where the account is maintained and furnishing of the EPF account number, the member will be asked to enter their name and mobile number. The given number will be recorded along with the PF Account number. On successful submission of the above information, the details will be sent through SMS to the given mobile number.
The new feature will enable the SRO, Visakhapatnam, to effectively redress/address the grievances of the members relating to inconsistency and inaccuracy and provide trouble-free services to subscribers, Mr. Ajeet Kumar felt.
